Safety initiatives
We regularly incorporate new information related to hygiene when it becomes necessary, including infection control measures, to create a safe and clean childcare environment.
1. School Entry and Exit Management
When a child arrives at or leaves the school, a notification will be sent to the family.
2. Security camera installation
Security cameras are installed in the rooms to help prevent accidents and provide security measures to students while in our care.
3. Attendance at advanced lifesaving courses
In order to ensure that children receive prompt and necessary treatment in the event of an injury or an acute disease, staff attend advanced lifesaving courses, learn CPR and how to use an AED (automated external defibrillator), which the School is equipped with.
4. Disaster Countermeasures
In preparation for potential disasters, the person in charge of the School has taken a “fire and disaster prevention management training course” and obtained the certification. In addition, we stockpile evacuation supplies and emergency food in case of disasters. Based on an annual disaster prevention plan, we conduct emergency drills with children in case of “fire” or “earthquake.
We also regularly conduct training on “floods”, “outdoor disasters,” and “various types of emergency calls”.
5. Food Hygiene
In order to prevent food poisoning and properly manage food hygiene, School Managers are required to take a food hygiene management course approved by the local food hygiene association in each region, and obtain certification as a food hygiene Manager.
6. Measures to prevent abuse
To protect the children, we conduct training at least once a year and fill out a daily abuse prevention checklist, adhering to the Child and Family Agency’s “Guideline for Responding to Child Abuse” (revised in March 2024).
7. Information management (personal information management)
We conduct training on the Personal Information Protection Law and the handling of personal information, confirm the rules, and strive to ensure thorough information protection.
8. Sharing ‘Near Miss’cases
To protect the safety of children, staff regularly share ‘near misses’ that occur in every day life. We also look to anticipate various possible situations and strive to create a safe environment to prevent them from happening.
